Easter Fun!!

I love EASTER SUNDAY!! I love the spring colors, the cool crisp air, the pretty little dresses and little whites sandals. I appreciate, now that I have a daughter, the pain and sweat that went into Easter morning. 5 matching dresses, 5 whites socks and shoes, 5 sweet little hats and gloves, 5 heads with sponge curlers.... my Mother is quite the WOMAN!!! I realize this more and more every day!

So, in that spirit, let me tell you a bit about my Easter morning. First, Paul was a gem and let me sleep in while he took Elizabeth downstairs! I was so grateful!
Then daddy took his morning nap while Libby and I played downstairs. About 30 minutes after giving her an Easter basket, I was startled to hear her gagging and dry- heaving. I looked up to see my darling daughter with about 6 Hershey Kisses, foil wrapper and all, in her mouth!!!
Chocolate on her face, in the carpet, on her clothes... EVERYWHERE.
I didn't panic. Took her upstairs, ran a bath, stripped her, turned to get the soap........ and POOP floating with the bath toys, silly little grin on Elizabeth's face!!!
AUUUUGGGHH!! Now it was my turn to gag and dry-heave!!!
Snatched her out of the tub, drained it, filled it back up with Clorox and finished her bath in MY tub. Starting to feel irritated----
Finally cleaned up, I took her back downstairs, made my mate cocido and put in some toast. Starring off into space, I was brought back to earth by a wet splash on my leg. I looked down to find my helpful daughter, pouring an over sized mug of tea, all over my pants and into a puddle on the floor. Of course her expression said, "Mommy, look what I brought you!!"
Seriously, what do you do?!?! What do you do?!?! Other than say "oh thank you .... what a good helper..." Breathe Em, BREATHE!!!!!
Doesn't the expression on her face say it all?!?!?

I really do love being a mom!!!

Cute pictures, love them all! I also loved your rendition of Easter morning, toddlerhood is wonderful isn't it? Seriously who is John Galt? When do we get the answer to that?

I am sorry you had such a hard morning! Sounds exasperating. The picture of you and Elizabeth in your backyard is positively stupendous - frame that one :)

p.s. I am disqualified from your survey b/c I googled the name. I couldn't help myself...
