Johnny 1 Week Later....

Whew! After being home with the three kids for a week, I have to say not too bad. Luckily, I am recovering very quickly and have had minimal pain. The girls are keeping me on my toes running all over the house, and Johnny is either sleeping in the sling, attached to me, or in the bouncer.
Elizabeth is truly in love with her brother! She is a wonderful helper, but quite tiring. "Mommy, I think he needs a diaper change. Let's put on his jammies. Can I rock him. I think he wants to go in the swing. Let's wash his face. Look at his cute little tootsies....Guess what Mom, we are going to the aquarium today, to the zoo today, swimming today..." and on and on and on--
Hailey squeals with delight every morning when she sees him and loves to pat his little head-- that's the only thing we'll let her touch :) She is occasionally whiny and wants to constantly be held by whomever is not holding Johnny. I think she will be a great little buddy to Johnny. She already seems to compete less with him than she does with her sister.
Johnny sleeps for the majority of the day and night. He wakes for 25 minutes, at the most, at a time during the day; and from 1am-3am almost every night. He is a great eater, but an equally great pooper and isn't really gaining any weight. We are still guessing what color his eyes will be and praying that his beautiful hair doesn't fall out.
I loaded all three kids into the car on Friday to take Johnny to a doctor's appointment. It went very smooth, but took a solid 20 minutes to get coats, diaper bag, car seats, seat belts, ect. That will take some getting used to. I usually don't plan for that much time.
I am so happy about our little family! Having a son is so cool! Johnny makes our family feel more complete and I know he is meant to be ours!

I'm so excited for you! Wow you sound like Supermom. I'm having a little anxiety thinking of having a third and three at home and my kids are way older than yours and pretty independent but I'm sure it'll be fun. He is SO CUTE! Seriously let me know if ever need anything.
