THIS YEAR I RESOLVE....

I had a very meaningful epiphany this morning. I realized that the people I know who are truly happy, don't have anything more than I do. Their lives aren't any more meaningful or fuller, their husbands aren't any more romantic or helpful around the house, their homes aren't any cleaner or bigger, they have no more friends, or greater material wealth... you are getting the idea. The difference is: Perspective! They choose to view their lives in the most positive light, to embrace their current situation with energy and a willingness to be where they are. This is of course not a new idea... I didn't think it up... but that makes it no less meaningful for me now. The fact is that we must all stop cursing...and I mean really CURSING the things in life we cannot change. After some serious thinking I realized ANYTHING can be put in a positive light and really shine!

So this year instead of going on a diet... or reading a 100books.... I resolve to view my life and situation in the best light (that means no four letter words :) and enjoy what this year will give me.

Oh, the things I could learn from you!!! I feel like I've had the hardest time staying positive. I know it's just my attitude that needs to change, but when the boy just doesn't stop fussing and lately he's developed croup and I just think...will this ever end??? That's why I need you in my life to remind me of the good things. I love you!!! When Kashton gets to feeling better we need to get together again.
