the Home Engineer

Staying home with Elizabeth brings me so much joy! It's the best and the hardest job that I have ever had, and the hours tend to be brutal! Sometimes I get frustrated; I can never seem to get ahead with laundry and cleaning, I haven't exercised since I got pregnant, I just want a moment to read a book and not have to stay up until midnight to do it. It's easy to see why mothers can be so stressed and frazzled especially if they are also trying to manage a 9 to 5. But the thing that mothers and grandmothers of all ages keep reminding me is that it all happens too fast. ENJOY EVERY MOMENT! Because when the moment is gone, all we have are memories and regrets. I love being a mom and a home engineer! So even if the carpet doesn't get vaccumed, and I don't stop to brush my hair.... I am going to laugh and play with my little girl and spend time with my best friend Paul. because what else really matters?

Thank you for writing this. I'm right there with you and sometimes I feel like I'm in this depressed mommy slump. I feel like I'm the worst mom. BTW, I tagged you. Check out my blog for details!!!
